Help Refugees

HelpRefugees

Your trash is another man’s treasure.  At Simply Mary Organizing, we will make it possible for your purged items to find their way to others in need.  Lincoln Elementary, located in South Salt Lake, has students who speak 47 different native languages, and over 90% of its families live at poverty level or below.  The school has come up with a wonderful way to help those families, and you can contribute.  Students earn Lincoln Loot Bucks for good behavior, attendance, and performing well academically, and once a month, they get to spend their hard-earned bucks at the Lincoln Loot store.  They can “buy” toiletries, food, clothes for themselves/parents/siblings, toys, books, and other household items.

After an organizing session, Simply Mary Organizing will take the items you wish to donate to Lincoln Elementary (not possible in summertime).  We appreciate your generosity and hope you feel wonderful about helping those in need, all while organizing and simplifying your home.

Another way that you can contribute is to make a monetary donation (see below) that will pay for an organizer to help sort items and get them ready for the the Lincoln Loot store.  Currently, the school staff is barely able to keep up with donations and don’t have enough time in the day to restock the store and fulfill their duties as teachers.  At $40, $80, or $120, you can make a real difference in getting donated items ready for purchase.  The families AND teachers will thank you!
